What is an AI council and why does it matter?
An AI council is a small internal group, one person per department, who own AI decisions, maintain the prioritization process, and evaluate new initiatives. Without one, AI adoption tends to be ad hoc: one power user drives everything and nobody else builds the muscle.
Who should be on the AI council?
One person per major function who has operational context for that team's work. They don't need to be technical. They need to understand their team's bottlenecks and be trusted enough that their peers will act on their recommendations.
How does the governance process work in practice?
A bi-weekly sync, a prioritized backlog of AI initiatives, and a lightweight evaluation framework for deciding what to build, buy, or skip. We run the first 6 to 8 sessions with you, then hand the cadence off.
What if we don't have the budget for an AI engineer?
That's the point. The entire model is designed so you don't need one. We build with your people, document everything, and train internal champions so your team can maintain and extend what we built without outside help.
Can we continue working with you after the 3 months?
Yes. Some teams keep us on for a lightweight follow-on retainer, typically to review new AI initiatives, troubleshoot edge cases, or expand to new workflows. It's optional, not a requirement.
How is this different from just reading AI reports and implementing them ourselves?
Reports tell you what's possible. We do the work. The gap between "AI could help here" and "AI is running in production here and your team owns it" is where most companies get stuck, and where we operate.
