🚨 Friday fun: connect things that weren't meant to talk to each other. Use them in unreasonable ways.
13 increasingly unreasonable examples of how to use connectors
(Mostly reasonable)
1. Kick the can down the road (Calendar + one line of instructions): the block ends, you stop working on the task. Your AI agent books the next slot you'd have picked anyway, context in the description. No session stays open indefinitely.
2. Quick question counter (Slack + Calendar): every "quick question", timed from the message to the "thanks". Median and total, per person.
3. Bullshit bingo (transcripts): a card per recurring meeting. Proactive, paradigm, touch base, blue-sky thinking, boil the ocean. Scored per attendee, leaderboard. Bonus: a card for your work bestie, from a coworker's greatest hits.
4. Forgotten topic radar (transcripts + Calendar): every "circle back" and "take this offline", and whether it ever came back.
(Defensible after a couple of drinks)
5. Touch grass (phone location + food delivery apps): how many days since you left the house.
6. Girl math (bank statement + Calendar): returning the dress makes dinner free, and the flight you booked in March is already paid for. It finds the reason every expense was a saving.
7. Net cardio (Strava + bank statement): subtracts the bakery stop from every run. Your 10K is a pastry subscription with exercise attached.
8. Meal prep (food delivery apps + Calendar): 43 minutes at home saying there was no time to cook, 19 choosing the noodles.
9. Cost of a meeting (Calendar + web search): a price tag on every meeting in the past week.
Want this running in your team?
evoilabs starts with one task, the one your team repeats every week, and builds the system that handles it. Then your team builds the next one.
See how it works →(Indefensible)
10. Take back credit (Email + Calendar + Notes): someone else took the credit? A Friday writeup of what you shipped, with the evidence. To your boss, their boss, and them in cc.
11. Tough love (transcripts + Calendar + YouTube): spots you rambling in meetings, stalling on your goals, or just generally being the problem, then sends you a YouTube tutorial with "hey, by the way". And nothing else.
12. The most stressful colleague (Calendar + health tracker): which meetings spike your heart rate, and who is always in the room.
13. Personal score (every connector): your entire life, boiled down to one grade. Not a number. A grade.
⚠️ 2, 3 and 4 turn highly unreasonable the moment you send them to the people concerned.
This list started with one or two ideas. I just kept going.
I don't recommend you use any of these. But if you do... let me know how it goes?
