Last night, an AI coaching client said a couple of things that made me smile.
#1 At work, they now call him "Mr. Claude". That got my attention. It started in a taxi: he asked Claude to draft a Slack reply to his CEO and his Chief Commercial Officer. (Hint: Slack shows when a message was sent with Claude.)
#2 He now plans his day from the back of a taxi on the way to a client site, just talking it through.
#3 He had Claude dig through a conversation on his phone, to check they were aligned and that nothing from a handover had slipped.
Mind you, up to that point, we had only set up a foundational structure for his Claude Cowork:
- Simple, relevant context
- Reusable project structure
- Most used tools connected
We had not even talked about skills. Or switching models. Or anything advanced. A structured foundation was enough to get some value out of it. Sometimes while on his phone, on the go.
Want this running in your team?
evoilabs starts with one task, the one your team repeats every week, and builds the system that handles it. Then your team builds the next one.
See how it works →I love working with clients one-on-one because I get to witness these aha moments: when they take a step back and realize how far they've come, and how much AI has taken off their plate.
Granted, seasoned executives with years in leadership are usually the best here, because they know what good looks like in their role and industry. They just want to get there faster, or do more in the same time.
So if AI feels complicated, start simple. Get value. Then go bigger.
We walked away from the session aligned on his homework: build a set of skills from the list Claude suggested, based on how he has used it these past three weeks.
