Every new model is hyped up to feel more intuitive, more hands-off-the-wheel. Half the podcasts, articles or video I consume on the topic fetishize "what do you run overnight? How long did you let AI run without you intervening?" Every new feature makes it feel like you can finally let go of the wheel, but the anecdotes of "I handed AI my financial portfolio... aaaaaand it's gone" have become a meme at this point. AI without guardrails.
Then, I came across a more reasonable example:
Cat Goetze (of CatGPT) handed Claude the part everyone dreads, navigating Meta Ads hellscape, to sell product she had sitting in a warehouse. She kept the creative deliberately human, it was just her own content that had already proven itself organically. Claude did the setup and the clicking.
Result? In the first seven days, $2,019 of ad spend transformed into $15,235 in sales. She let it ride: $11K spent for $80K made, a ~7x return on ad spend. Plus, she saved herself 40+ hours in what she calls the world's most convoluted UI.
