If you've been circling AI for months without actually building anything, know that I'm entering this and I think you should too.
I give out the same advice to every coaching client who asks me "how do I get into AI?"
Stop researching, go build something.
A hackathon is the cheapest and most engaging way to do it, because a deadline beats a course. Every. Single. Time.
Forget the $100K. You just need to feel the gap close between "I have an idea" and "I have a working thing."
